My Wheel
My Spinning wheel is on its way to me and I should have it by tuesday or wednesday at the latest. I purchased mine from www.coppermoose.com and I cannot wait to get it here. I am getting a Louet S17 which is an unfinished weel and I have to put it together but I think the savings of $230 is worth the work. I really cannot wait. I was bidding on one on ebay today and I lost it by $0.02 in the last 2 seconds of the auction. I was really upset until I went to the Copper Moose site and I saw that I could get a S-17 wheel with 1lb of wool for only $15.00 more than the winning bid on the auction one. I am so excited I will be stalking the UPS man until it gets here. I can't wait to get started on the luxury fiber I recieved from my secret pal. I also have about 1.5 lbs of fiber left form the last time I made a purchase so I will have enought to keep me busy for a few days.
Ok so here is the question for the day. This is for all the spinners or want to be spinners out there. Where is the best place to find spinning fiber? Please post a link and let us all know where to look for the best fiber the web has to offer.

Wow..I'm super jealous! I want a wheel so bad but I've been eyeing the ashford traditional. I've heard great things about the Louet wheels but their design freaks me out. When did I become such a traditionalist? Geez..anyway. I can't wait to see how you like it and i can vicariously spin through you.

This is more of a resource link...and supports a good cause.
I know the owner. Good people.
I got my wheel from coppermoose too, it's great.
I haven't bought any roving online, although there's quite a bit on eBay. I love the tussah silk at this site, but I've never ordered from them
I had a very different style wheel about 25 years ago. I loved it, but sold it because I had 2 babies and thought I'd never do anything again. :( I bought a big black garbage bag full of black wool and one of alpaca in Berkeley, CA. Ah, the good ol' hippy days!
I have no idea where to get it now. I am also envious of your new wheel. Have a blast! Oh, and try to find some alpaca. Mmmmmmmm.
I'm still...well, who am I kidding. I am still a wet-behind the ears, complete novice spinner, but I've been currently stalking Susan's Spinning Bunny (http://www.spinningbunny.com/), which is where I found the Luxury Sample kit I sent you for your last SP6 package--incidentally I can also attest to her good customer service, as there was a snafu with the order that she was extremely helpful in correcting--who is also on ebay as 'ssilk1'; and 'kendigcottage' on eBay, who I just purchased from for the first roving for myself.
Coppermoose actually has very lovely fiber at good prices. Paradise fiber is also a good place to check.
Congrats on the wheel! XD
Hey i saw you're comment in another blog, I am in GA as well!
Can't wait to see what you spin! You are going to have a great christmas with your spinning wheel!

http://www.inspirationsyarn.com/ Inspirations yarn has some nice beginner kits that i'm currently obsessing over. I haven't gotten into spinning yet but I really want to. I think I have to clean my room up a bit more before i do that or I'm liable to lose stuff.
