I found this great add-on through blogger by linking to the Blogger knowledge page on the Blogger dashboard. I love the way it turned out because I can now blog from anywhere I am. on the road, at the park, on vacation.

Whith no long distance on my cell phone I can call when every I want. I really love the technology.

In the Home Stretch

I got a lot of knitting time in last night and was able to get to the decrease section of my Clapotis. I wish my camera was working :-( I have now finished on Decrease section, and I should have it off the needles and blocking tonight. Yipee because I was Slipping earlier this week I am so dlas tha it is almost done. Just in time for the closing of the olympics tomorrow night. I hate to post with out a picture so here is a copy of an Ad I placed for my shop in a local magazine.

The girls and Poppie

Here is a cute picture of the girls and their Poppie. We where at his house for his 57th birthday and the girls made him a card with the picture of his "Old Blue" Truck. He is being put on the Lung Transplant list on Monday and they are hoping that he will get one soon because they say he is late stage and they do not think that he will make it more than 2-3 years without a transplant.

Fabric Swap

I have been meaning to post these picture for a week now and so here goes Set #1 is a lot of juvenile prints and has about 2.5 yards total. they would be great for a crazy quilt bag. Set #2 is an Asian inspired set and containes about 4 yards of faric and would be great for any size handbag and you would be able to get the lining and everything with this set. Set #3 is has 2 different fabrics and is great weight for either outer fabric or lining and this set is about 2 yards total and the purple fabric has gold stars. these both corrdinate well with each other . Edited to add: If you see anything that you would like let me know what you would like to swap me for it. I will have more in the next few days.

My Scanner Works

So I get to post a picture. I mentioned that I have started a new class as of last Thursday so I thought I would post one of my design projects for this week. Updated to add: I now have this image as a knit or cross stitch chart if you would like to test the image on a garment or tote bag please let me know and I can e-mail you the PDF. I would like to say thanks while my camera is out of power. I recieved a wonderful package from my SP7 on Saturday. I got over a 1/2 pound of handpainted roving, a ball of Simply Stripes sock yarn 4 sewater/yarn storage bags a texas keay chain ( in the 4 times that I have been their I have never bought myself a keychain) a ball of Regia jacquard that I plan on making a pair of wristwarmers out of and nice box of Godiva Chocolate. I love it all and I think the bags will help me to organize my roving better. Thank you so much you are so thoughtful. I love it all.

Slipping on the ice

Pun Intended. I am slipping a little on my clapotis. I have completed 2.5 repeats of the straight section. (Camera Still out of Batteries). I have gotton bored with the pattern, so I had to knit something else up. This is the picture from the pattern. I am knitting this as a sample for the shop. I choose to make the part below the ruffel in Kiwi Green and the ruffle and Handles are in ruhbarb pink I love the way it is turning out. I have to knit 70 inches of I-cord (oh joy) It is a very easy pattern but I did make an adjustment to it. I cast on 35 stitches and knit 10 rows in garter and then picked up the stitches around so that I did not have to sew the bottom up later. it made it easy and it only takes 2 balls so it is great. I have a new class

I started a new class in school on Thursday. It is Fundementals of Design and I have to draw MC Esher Style drawings. This quilt will give you an idea about what I have to draw. The dark areas will have to be black and the light areas will have to be white. I will post a picture next week after I draw it up. I really like the guitar quilt and I think I might have to try to make one with an ordinary every day object. I am thinking about making one with Coca-cola bottle shaped images. that might turn out to be intersting.

Sorry for being so boring

I know that I must be really boring lately as I have had no comments on my last few post. I really wanted to have pictures of my clapotis but my camera is out of batteries. so here is the pictures that I was able to take prior to the batteries going kaput.

The First Picture is of the new display in my shop. I got in my first yarn order for the shop. It is Maunch chunky form Kraemer Yarns out of Pennsylvania.

On Tuesday I will be getting my Mango Moon and then by the end of the week I will be getting in Fiddlesticks Bamboo Needles. I am on the way to becoming a yarn store yet.

Artist Trading Card

A few Months Back Quilting Arts Magazine had an article about Artisit Trading Cards and So I dediced to make one finally.

I know this one is a little rough around the edges so I think I might have to make another one.

I really Love Pink and Purple and I love shoes. so this is about me.

My Yarn Shop

By the end of this year I think my little gift shop will be a full fledge yarn shop. I have yarn on the way, and I am so excited. By the end of this week I will be selling www.mangomoonyarns.com and http://www.kraemeryarnshop.com I am so excited I will have the recycled silk and Wollie from Mango Moon and the Maunch Chunky from Kramer. I think that both of these have wonderful fibers and I love the way the Maunch Chunky felts I also have more lines of the Mango Moon yarns comming in, in March. I will have Southwet Trading Compnay also in a few weeks. I have convinced my business partner that if we bring in yarn we will increase the revenue of the shop. So Far I have dedicated about 300 Sq Feet to yarn and knitting supplies. It is not complet yet but I hoep everything will be set by this weekend. SO if any of my readers are ever going to be out in GA e-mail me and maybe we can get together to knit.

A little stitching and a little knitting

I have been knitting on my Clapotis for the olympics so this is the reason for no post, and I also have a final due on Wed. I have just dropped the first stitch on the clapotis, it is so much fun to drop a stitch on purpose. I also have a new handbag to show but I left it at home so I did not get to take a picture.

Grocery List

I decided that I need to start sketching again so I choose to draw my grocery list instead of writing the words. So here it is.

It was a quick sketch and I thought that I would have fun with it.

The Knitting Olympics are famous

Check out the link in the title and you will see how newspapers are getting the word out about what we are doing. I think this is so much fun I cannot wait to cast on tomorrow. My gole is cast on, set up rows and one repeat. I might just cnahege yarns though I have a couple that I have swatched and I like them both, so I have a quandry on my hands here I will post pictures of each yarn and you can help me decide.

Team Clapotis

I guess I know what I will be knitting on starting on friday. I will be knitting the Clapotis out of fingering weight yarn and I am going to be using #6 needles I think that this will work well and I might end up with a smaller one but I think that I will like the weight of it better that if I knit it out of the heaver yarn. Pictures to follow.

Knit-zine

I am planning a Knit-zine or mini magazine to be sent out to all yarn shops that I can get names and addresses for to see if the would be interested in selling the pattern and idea book in their shops. I will also have ad space for independent designers to advertise their patterns. The first few issues will be in black and white with a full color cover and the size will be 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". We will include book and product reviews in every issue and are looking for patterns that teach a technique. We are looking for designers that would like to contribute patterns to this Knit-zine. Each designer would get a free ad in two issues for each pattern that is published in the Knit-zine. They will also get a Permenent link from our website to theirs as soon as the pattern is published.
